Students in this class will review the basics of acting for the stage while taking a deeper look at how to use a script as a guide for creating bold choices as an actor. This class will also introduce specific acting techniques that can further the depth of their work and expand their range as a performer. This class will strengthen self awareness and trust in one’s self and in their peers.Through structured exercises, students will learn how to listen to their instincts, deliver subtext character-process, foundational work in script analysis and mindfulness of the ensemble.Classes will include vocal and physical warm ups, introspective exercises, scene study, personal reflection and imaginative exercises. My goal for this class is that students will develop a better understanding of their own personal strengths and how that applies to their unique abilities as an actor and as a person.
