This beginner's class is designed for teens aged 15 to 18 who are interested in exploring the behind-the-scenes magic of theatre. Students will learn the basics of set design, lighting, sound, and stage management. Through hands-on activities and collaborative projects, students will gain practical skills and an understanding of the technical aspects that bring a theatrical production to life!

Please note, taking this class is a mandatory prerequisite to be on the artistic team for the spring production.
If you are selected to be a part of the student directing team for the Spring Alice workshop, please know there will be a standard registration fee for this training opportunity. The following key qualifiers are required to apply:
- Must be at least 14+/a freshmen in High School by the beginning of Fall Session 2024
- Displays teaching, serving, and/or leadership gifts and maintains a positive attitude
- Must have been involved in CYT Santa Cruz for at least 1 year (and multiple sessions)
- Commits to upholding CYT values
- Commits to attending a prep meeting that is scheduled with their mentor and preparing any necessary materials for rehearsals
- Commits to attending all rehearsals and performances for Spring Workshop - 2 weekends sometime between the end of March and April. Exact dates TBD
